Origins
An innovation crafted at Stanford
Designing Your Life (DYL) was born in the heart of Silicon Valley at Stanford University, under the guidance of professors Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, experts in Design Thinking and innovation.
DYL became one of the university’s most popular courses, and was quickly adopted by other universities, including Harvard, MIT, and Yale. Its has helped thousands of people carve out rich and fulfilling professional life paths and its value has been validated in scientific studies.
A Gold-Standard Method
In 2016, Burnett and Evans’ book Designing Your Life – #1 New York Times bestseller – introduced the method to the general public.
It was followed by Designing Your Work Life, selected by Amazon in 2020 as one of the best ‘Business & Leadership books of the year. .
